yeah, so i get to speak my mind and of my experiences as well here :) so here’s a little history..

i got this seagate barracuda 500gb sata drive about 3 yrs back and over that period it has crashed over 8 times causing me to have it replaced..
the last time i gave it back they took 30 day to deliver it back and that too in “repaired” form, not “replaced”.. and it broke within 10 days..!!!!
and it broke so bad that even connecting it as an external isn’t good enough to access it.. everything, all data, is just gone.. :(

so a sodomy-deserving ploy by seagate to market external backup drives or just plain indicator of super bad service and highly overstated and below standard-in-the-negative-zone make quality.. in either case, it is a clear indicator that seagate should stop making hard drives and go for making cheap condoms instead..
